Josh Brolin Checks Into Rehab

Josh Brolin has checked into rehab. According to TMZ, the newly single actor picked a rehab in Northern California to treat his substance abuse problems. This isn’t too surprising considering the actor had a few incidents of being intoxicated in public.

An insider close to Brolin or at least the situation, commented, having said, “He realized he needed help and is committed to his sobriety.”

Earlier in November, Josh Brolin was caught on tape intoxicated at a pub. This bit of news is fairly typical, except that Brolin decided to get into a drunken fist fight.

The incident occurred in the front entrance of O’Brien’s Irish Pub in Santa Monica, California and happened just after the bar closed at 2 am. Brolin made amends with the unidentified man, and he tried to give him a hug when the fight was over, but the story still made the tabloids.

The drunken weekend continued for Josh Brolin as he was recorded on camera in a verbal fight with a cab driver at a Los Angeles Del Taco drive thru. This footage also made it on to popular entertainment-based shows.

These drunken benders don’t come as a total surprise given that Brolin’s personal life is in turmoil. Brolin has had a rocky eight-year marriage with actress Diane Lane. The actress decided enough was enough and filed for divorce in February of this year. Throughout their marriage, Brolin has been arrested for domestic battery. His most infamous incident was in 2004, which was later chalked up to a “misunderstanding.”

With all of this bad press, it’s safe to say that Josh Brolin is done with alcohol. Earlier in November, he told TMZ that he was done with drinking, saying, “That’s it. Completely done.”

Looks like Josh Brolin is finally keeping his word.

Despite his personal troubles, Brolin’s career seems to be on a roll. He recently appeared in Labor Day and Old Boy. The former is receiving pretty solid reviews.
