Life Without Miley Cyrus Is Good For Liam Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth is apparently doing pretty good without Miley Cyrus in his life.

The Expendables 2 star and America’s twerking anti-sweetheart famously ended their relationship earlier this year. Although he’s remained fairly quiet about the breakup, Hemsworth recently decided to discuss where he’s at in his post-Cyrus life.

“These days I feel like I’m more centered and grounded than I’ve ever been. I’ve learned so much. The first few years in Los Angeles were really tough and scary, but I had to figure things out for myself,” Liam Hemsworth told The Associated Press.

The actor continued, “What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that’s all that matters. I know I’m a good person.”

According to E! Online, Jennifer Lawrence taught Hemsworth how to live his life to the fullest. The two spent quite a bit of time together while filming director Francis Lawrence’s highly-anticipated sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

“For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment. But being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I’m much happier,” Liam Hemsworth explained.

He added, “I read a lot of Zen books. And I grew up surfing, so that has always been my escape.”

Hemsworth isn’t the only one who’s a little happier following the recent split. Miley Cyrus told Ellen DeGeneres in October that she’s the “happiest she’s ever been.” However, Cyrus was quick to point out that this comment wasn’t a dig against her ex-fiance.

“That’s just me, because I really am genuinely happy finally with myself, which I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are. I’ve never been able to just be alone, and I’m obsessed with being alone and like hearing my thoughts,” Cyrus explained.

The singer continued, “I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That’s kind of where I am right now. I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn’t really been focused on that.”
