Bruce Jenner And His New Ponytail, Why Bruce?
Bruce Jenner and co. have made the news headlines once again following the Legendary Athlete Award he received from Kris Jenner, his wife of 22 years. The couple split recently but are said to be on amazing terms with each other, and speak daily.
The award was presented to Kriss Jenner at the All Sports Film Festival last Monday where US Weekly caught up with Bruce – who was in attendance at the Hollywood bash – along with his daughters Kendall and Kylie and son Brandon.
The photographers noticed that Bruce was still wearing his wedding ring while ex-wife Kriss was ringless. Bruce Jenner, who lives in Malibu now, said he and Kriss were doing “great” since their split.
“I see her everyday. We are doing absolutely great,” he said.
He spoke about his recent visit to Kriss Jenner’s Malibu pad: “I was actually over at the other house today and there were like 20 people over at the house and I’m thinking, ‘I’ve got a nice quiet and peaceful place in Malibu, but yeah it works great and my kids come and its all good.'”
He told reporters, in a heartfelt moment, that his biggest regret in life was that his kids and grandkids never got to see him at his athletic peak back in 1976: “Thank God I was able to pull it off and move on. Now that I’m older I realize that it’s not that easy to win that thing.”
During his acceptance speech Bruce Jenner spoke about how happy he was that, even though his kids didn’t watch him live when he was in his youth, he was thrilled to be sharing the evening with them: “That’s always been a disappointment that they didn’t see their dad when he was 26, taking on the world. But you know that’s the way life is! I’m glad they are here tonight.”
Ok, but none of this gives the answer to the burning question. What’s with the ponytail Bruce? He told US that the reason for the new hairdo was the fact he just turned 64: “I turned 64 two weeks ago and that I still have hair to grow! I’m celebrating, yeah!” He said.
Bruce Jenner said about the effect his new look has had on his kids: “It’s driving them all crazy! It’s absolutely wonderful,” he quipped.
