Jessica Hart’s Taylor Swift Comments Were ‘Wildly Misinterpreted’
Jessica Hart’s controversial comments about Taylor Swift were “wildly misinterpreted,” said Victoria’s Secret’s Edward Razek.
A small portion of the world’s population collectively gasped when the model said that Swift simply “didn’t fit” at the recent fashion event. Although Hart said the singer was great, apparently she felt Swift wasn’t the right person to play the Victoria’s Secret show.
According to Us Weekly, Edward Razek feels the model’s words were grossly misinterpreted by the entire planet. The company’s chief marketing officer said Hart is a huge fan of Taylor Swift. In fact, she seems to think the singer is nothing short of “amazing.”
“I have personally been in contact with Jessica Hart and she said she was ‘wildly misinterpreted’ and that she thought Taylor was ‘amazing.’ She is stunned that anyone would think differently. And that’s something we can all agree on,” Razek told the publication.
He continued, “I can tell you that everyone at Victoria’s Secret was blown away by Taylor’s performance. She could not be more beautiful or talented, that we felt extremely lucky to have her, and that she is welcome back to do the show anytime she wants.”
But wait — there’s more! Since Taylor Swift fans were no doubt extremely upset with Jessica Hart’s comments about the singer, Razek continued to gush profusely about just how snazzy she is. Victoria’s Secret is backpedaling furiously on the matter, suggesting that some people should definitely learn when to keep their lips zipped in public.
Edward Razek said of Taylor Swift:
“[She’s] not ready to be an Angel? She’s more than ready to be anything she wants to be. I could not have more respect for this woman, or be more appreciative of her participation, and I can speak for the entire VS brand, the crew, and most certainly the Angels. We honestly could not have been happier with Taylor. She rocked the house. Sounded great. Looked stunning. And had the best time with the Angels. Some things I let slide. But not this. It couldn’t be more wrong.”
During an interview with WWD, Jessica Hart discussed whether she thought Taylor Swift would make a good Victoria’s Secret model. That’s when her foot jumped into her mouth.
The model said:
“I think, you know what, God bless her heart. I think she’s great. But I don’t know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that. I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we’ve been working for 14, 15 years; what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself. I think it comes with age. It’s definitely the benchmark of all jobs.”
