Ronda Rousey Reckons She Could Take Down Cain Velasquez In A Fight

Ronda Rousey thinks that she could take down Cain Velasquez, the UFC heavyweight champion, in a fight. In her recent comments to a well known Spanish publication, Hoy, she alleges that “under the right circumstances” she could beat Velasquez.

She said:

In any given moment, under the right circumstance, I think it is possible. You cannot tell me that it is physically impossible. It is possible that in any given moment that I could beat him. I simply believe in my possibilities.

Has Ronda Rousey gone mad? Is it in the realms of possibility that she could even get a punch in with Velasquez who is known for being one of the toughest men alive today?

After all, Ronda Rousey weighs at least 100 pound less than the UFC champion, let alone the fact that Velasquez is a seasoned and well trained fighting machine and one of the most legendary UFC fighters of all time.

The expression “delusions of grandeur” springs to mind as people are left wondering what might have gotten lost in translation from the comments made by Rousey. There is no question that Rousey is a “bad-ass” herself being that no woman has ever taken her past the first round.

Not to mention the fact that before her MMA days Ronda Rousey was an Olympic bronze winner in judo, making her the first American athlete to receive a medal in judo at Olympic level.

What do you think about Ronda Rousey’s comments that she could take down the great and mighty Cain Velasquez in a fight? Do you think that something did in fact get lost in the Yahoo translation of her comments or do you say “good on you” to Rousey for being so confident that she could beat the world champion?
