Luke Evans Covers ‘Men’s Health’ Talks About Wearing Miniskirt [Photos, Video]

Luke Evans, the Welsh actor, is enjoying the time of his life after being a late bloomer, when it comes to his career. Following his international success, Luke is getting featured in Men’s Health magazine and he talks about his career and wearing a mini-skirt?

At 34-years-old, Luke Evans is somewhat of a late bloomer, he didn’t start his career when he was a young “chap”, it wasn’t until his early 30s that it really started taking off, and there is no looking back.

Men’s Health is honoring the ruggedly handsome Welshman, who started out in musical theater in London. Yes, he can also sing.

He was discovered by casting agents and in 2010 landed the role of Apollo in Clash Of The Titans, his big break.

In 2011, he was cast as another Greek god, Zeus, in Immortals alongside the Man of Steel, Henry Cavill. For the movie Luke had to lose weight and get in shape:

“I had to be basically naked, wearing a miniskirt for the whole film,” Luke Evans said of his reason for dropping 26 pounds for the film.

Luckily, for Luke he enjoys staying fit:

“The gym is somewhere you can go to just forget for an hour what you do for a living, what you are doing on a daily basis,” he explained to Men’s Health. “You just turn up and get on with it. Unless somebody comes up to you and asks you for a photograph. And then you remember—actually, you’re Dracula.”

Luke just wrapped up Dracula yesterday, which he announced on Twitter, yes, he does use social media.

Evans is known for keeping a strict diet and exercising regimen which he discusses in this issue of the magazine. And it pays!

His latest roles in Fast And Furious 6 and The Hobbit have required him to do very physical action scenes, being fit is a job requirement for Luke Evans.

His followers admire him not only for his good looks, but because of his very down to earth personality that comes across in the behind-the-scenes video from the shoot that Men’s Health released.

Luke Evans’ career is taking off like a rocket, he will star as Bard, the Bowman in The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug in December, he just wrapped his first leading role in Dracula, and he will start working on The Crow, also in the leading role, at the beginning of 2014. Things are looking good.
