‘Horrible Bosses 2’ Official Plot Synopsis Revealed

Folks who are looking forward to Horrible Bosses 2 now have an official plot synopsis to chew on while they’re waiting for the sequel to hit theaters next year.

Although we’ve had a release date and a limited cast list for quite some time, details about the story were few and far between. Now that production on the flick is underway in Los Angeles, Worst Previews reports that Warner Bros. unveiled details about the story itself.

Here’s the Horrible Bosses 2 synopsis in all its glory:

“Fed up with answering to higher-ups, Nick, Dale and Kurt decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business. But a slick investor soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company.”

According to the folks at Moviehole, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis will reprise their roles from the original Horrible Bosses. Also returning for another go-around are Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx, and Kevin Spacey.

Horrible Bosses 2 also stars Chris Pine and Django Unchained alum Christoph Waltz. Both guys will reportedly stand between our heroes and their quest for success.

Directed by Seth Gordon, the 2011 comedy told the story of three friends who conspire to murder their bosses after growing tired of being mistreated in the workplace. The $30 million comedy grossed approximately $209 million at the box office worldwide.

Although Gordon helped make the original flick at success, the filmmaker decided not to return for Horrible Bosses 2. Instead, Dumb and Dumber To and We’re the Millers scribe Sean Anders will step behind the camera for the follow-up.

Although Anders penned the script for a number of noteworthy comedies, his directorial efforts are less than impressive. Not only did he helm the raunchy Sex Drive, he’s also responsible for the Adam Sandler flick That’s My Boy. The $70 million effort only made $57 million during its theatrical run. Try not to hold those flicks against him.

In somewhat related news, Horrible Bosses 2 star Jennifer Aniston chopped off her famous hair prior to filming the sequel. According to the actress, she decided to make the change in order to get her locks back in good shape.

“I’m always one of those girls who does a big old chop just to get it really healthy, to repair [damage from] coloring and stuff like that,” she recently said of her new ‘do.
