Brandon T. Jackson Booted From US Airways Flight Amid Racism Claims

Brandon T. Jackson was recently kicked off a US Airways flight following claims of racism.

According to various outlets, the Tropic Thunder star was reportedly kicked off the flight in question after he became drunk and unruly. Despite the airline’s claim that Jackson was simply too obnoxious to handle, the actor said he wasn’t intoxicated during Monday’s flight.

Brandon T. Jackson was on a US Airways flight to Phoenix when he got into a verbal altercation with a flight attendant named Dee. At one point during their heated exchange, the actor said the employee used the N-word.

“I don’t care if your Obama’s son! Get in your seat!” the attendant allegedly said.

According to Digital Spy, a representative for the actor claimed he wasn’t served any alcohol during the flight in question. The spokesperson said the incident began when Jackson walked to the back of the plane in search of some food. It was around this time that the argument between the two reportedly began.

“The flight attendant told him to sit down and ‘I don’t care if you’re Obama’s son,’ then used a derogatory word — seemingly in jest,” the rep said.

However, the folks at US Airways have a very different take on the situation. In a statement released to CNN, the company said the actor was too rowdy to stay on the flight. The statement also shoots down Jackson’s claim that the flight attendant acted inappropriately during the exchange.

US Airways explained:

“The disruptive behavior started with loud music being played by Mr. Jackson at his seat. He was asked several times to turn down the music. Additional erratic behavior was observed, and that is when the crew made the decision to stop serving. If the crew determines to no longer serve alcohol to a customer, then their decision is definitive at that point.”

The airline also stated it “fully supports the actions of the crew in this situation.” However, some people who were on the US Airways slight said Brandon T. Jackson wasn’t drunk. The disorderly behavior the crew observed was the actor rehearsing lines with passengers.

TMZ recently caught up with Darrell Howard, the man who was reportedly seated next to Brandon T. Jackson on Monday’s flight to Phoenix. According to Howard, the actor wasn’t drunk or disorderly. He added that Jackson was nice and was surprised that the flight attendant lashed out in such an inappropriate manner.
