Qatar Olympics To Feature Giant Remote Controlled Clouds

The Arab Emirate has an eye for the extreme and in 2022 their extreme ideas will be taken to a whole new level when Dr. Saud Abdul Ghani and his team at Qatar University release giant clouds into the skies above their Olympic stadium.

As part of their winning bid, Qatar officials agreed to air condition their stadiums which normally would be far too hot for competitors from most nations.

Dr. Ghani, head of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Qatar University came up with the idea to use remote controlled “drones” made from 100 percent light carbonic materials that can be slowly flown over the outdoor stadium.

While the drones will be large and involve new technologies, they are expected to be rather cheap at just $500,000 a piece.
