Tyra Banks Opens Up About Her Disneyland Date With Drake
Tyra Banks recently took a moment to address rumors that she once dated Drake.
The Canadian-born rapper caught everyone — including the America’s Next Top Model host — completely by surprise when he told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this year that he once when on a date with Banks. The two reportedly put on disguises and enjoyed a care-free trip through the wilds of Disneyland.
During her appearance on The Steve Harvey Show on Friday (November 1), Tyra Banks discussed the secret date she had with Drake a while ago. As an added bonus to viewers, she freestyled her response to the rapper. Check out video of the supermodel’s appearance on the chat show below.
Banks told Harvey:
“I’m watching ‘Ellen’ and I can’t believe it. And then my phone is hitting up. And then social media, my Twitter, my Instagram… ‘Ohh, girl you went to Disneyland? What you wear?’ People are going crazy, and I’m just like, ‘it’s not fair.’ And Drake, I have words for you… I’m going to freestyle what I got to say to you, Mr. Aubrey.”
That’s when the model dropped the following rhyme:
“Drake rhymes with snake but no he ain’t, he’s more like a lion/Going on Ellen but not lyin’, telling the truth what’s up dude, about that day on Disneyland/You ain’t my man, right now/But why you gotta not kiss and tell, but chill and tell/You goin’ to jali/And this is my Tyra mail”
It’s not the most eloquent verse to ever hit the airwaves, but at least fans know a little bit about what happened between Tyra Banks and Drake during their trip to Disneyland.
Rumors about their romance started making the rounds after the rapper appeared on Ellen back in September. DeGeneres asked Drake about his relationship with Rihanna and Banks.
“Great girl, we had our moment and you know, I always support and have love for her. I’m not into do-overs, in any way. Which is an ironic thing to say,” the rapper explained.
As for his relationship with Banks: “I went on a date with her, one time. It was just one date, we went to Disneyland in disguise, which was fun. I don’t know if it was a date, it was like a get together. We’re close as well.”
