George Zimmerman Sends Estranged Wife A Message: A Bullet-Riddled Target [Report]

George Zimmerman allegedly sent his estranged wife, Shellie, a message recently. It was… a little threatening. Let’s put it this way, we don’t think he’s looking to reconcile.

Zimmerman and Shellie split shortly after the neighborhood watch volunteer was controversially acquitted in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Since the acquittal, Zimmerman has popped up in the media from time to time with some sources alleging that he is becoming unhinged.

To wit, Radar Online reports that Shellie discovered a bullet-riddled marksman’s target nailed to the wall of the home the couple used to share shortly after he was forced to move out.

The target was discovered by Shellie and her parents after the confrontation. Zimmerman was reportedly the last person to have been inside before they returned and found the target.

“This is the photo that Shellie sent to her lawyer and said, ‘Look at the subliminal message George left me,’ following their showdown in September,” a source close to the situation told the gossip site. “What else could a bullet-riddled marksman’s target mean?”

Another source took the symbolism immediately. “It’s really not that subliminal. A not-so subtle message, I think. It was clearly a threat.”

Some sources allege that Zimmerman could be upset with his ex over the amount of talking she has been doing with the media about the couple’s fragmented marriage. She gave an interview to the TODAY Show in September, in which she claimed she had been threatened by him on numerous occasions following the trial.

Police said that Zimmerman would not be charged over a domestic incident in which he allegedly waved a gun around and threatened to shoot Shellie and her father. He also allegedly punched her father in the face.

Shellie has filed for divorce, claiming that the two had separated in August due to the strain of the trial.

Is it possible that the bullet-riddled target was left by someone else? The sources say it’s not likely.

“It was not there when Shellie left, only when George moved out. He’s the only person who could have left it. Only he, Shellie and Shellie’s parents had keys.”

Shellie’s lawyer refused to comment on the target when contacted by media outlets.
