Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas are rumored to be considering a divorce, but recent signs indicate hope for their marriage.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Catherine Zeta Jones’ is not imminent based upon comments from Michael Douglas.
Back in August, Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas announced their separation after 13 years of marriage. But no legal papers were filed and they reportedly were trying to work things out.
Recently, a photograph allegedly showed Michael Douglas reuniting with Catherine Zeta Jones in Las Vegas. Douglas shot that rumor down:
“I don’t know where that picture is, but I haven’t been home yet. I’ve been in New Mexico making a picture called ‘The Reach’ for the last five weeks, so, while I look forward to getting home, that wasn’t me. Must’ve been a lookalike.”
Their marriage issues allegedly are tied to their health problems. Michael Douglas faced down cancer recently and Catherine Zeta Jones is being treated for bipolar disorder, with one friend saying she was heading toward a mental health crisis.
They both continue to wear wedding bands even as they appear in events separate from each other. Michael Douglas told Jay Leno recently that there’s plenty of hope left in their relationship:
“I’ve been away for a while, but everything should hopefully be on the up-and-up. Sometimes people take a little bit of a break, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the end. So I’m very hopeful.”
