Gisele Bundchen And Tom Brady Earned $80 Million Last Year
Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady are buying an apartment in the One Madison Park glass tower for $14 million, according to a report in the New York Post.
The Patriots’ quarterback and his top-earning supermodel partner, have agreed to purchase a three-bedroom, full-floor condominium on the 47th floor. The place is described as a large model apartment with amazing city and river-to-river views over the park and directly up Madison Avenue.
The interior of the apartment has been created by Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen. It includes solid quarter-sawn white oak plank floors and over sized doors, a master bedroom with closets for each of them, and a master bath with a soaking tub and custom double vanities.
The shining tower on East 22nd Street got into financial difficulties after it came onto the market in 2007.
After a series of foreclosures and lawsuits, the almost empty tower was rescued by Related Companies. This, in turn, attracted other prospective buyers including Leonardo DiCaprio and fashion tycoon Vera Wang, who looked at the $50 million triplex penthouse on the 58th to 60th floors, and now Gisele Bundchen.
Bundchen,33, originally from Brazil, is the world’s highest-paid model and (according to Forbes), earned $42 million last year. She has done some acting in movies, and was appointed a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program.
Thomas Edward Patrick “Tom” Brady, Jr. is a 36-year-old American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Last year he made $48.3 million.
Gisele Bundchen previously owned a triplex penthouse on West 11th Street, which she sold for $4.4 million. Brady had a condo at Time Warner Center, which he sold for $17.5 million.
Together,they also own a sprawling, 14,000-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles which they built from the ground. They are currently building a similar-size dwelling in Brookline, near Boston. A representative for Brady said, “He doesn’t comment on his private life.
Gisele Bundchen has also been quite reticent about her financial affairs. Isn’t it an amazing commentary on Modern America that a fashion model and a footballer couple can earn $80 million in one year?
