Pat Robertson Claims To Have Healing Powers, Neglects To Heal Caller’s Son [Video]

Little-known fact: Televangelist Pat Robertson has cured deafness, and if you can’t, you’re doing something wrong.

During the Q&A segment of Wednesday’s The 700 Club, Robertson said that he has actually healed deafness, and told a mother of a deaf child that she might be “doing something wrong” if she continually fails to reverse her son’s hearing impairment.

“I have prayed for his hearing,” the confused mother wrote Robertson. “It seems as if God is hearing-impaired. What am I doing wrong?”

The correct answer is either A) Because that’s not how it works (the religious answer) or B) Because there’s no God (The Dawkins answer).

Naturally, Pat Robertson decided to go another way and told the mother that the child probably has a “spirit of deafness.” See,”I have dealt with people who are deaf and you rebuke the spirit of deafness and they get healed,” but, “I don’t know what you’re doing wrong,” he said.

So, might as well go with what worked for Robertson.

“Why don’t you try that,” he said of “rebuking the spirit of deafness.”

But…

“If it doesn’t work, try something else.”

Of course, all I really want to know is why Robertson didn’t intervene right then and there, use his miraculous abilities, and heal that woman’s son of his deafness. I’m serious! He said he has done it before.

On that note, while Pat Robertson has said a great many crazy things during his career, this is the first time, to my knowledge, that he has claimed supernatural powers. Watch the video below, and if I’m wrong on that, leave me a comment down at the bottom.
