Jeff Garcia Interested In NFL Comeback
Jeff Garcia could be the new (old) quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns don’t have the greatest quarterback situation at the moment. Brian Weeden took the position against the Packers after Brian Hoyer suffered a season ending injury in week five. The team also has Jason Campbell.
If the team doesn’t like those options, they could find a third option with Jeff Garcia.
The 43-year-old quarterback said that he contacted the Browns after he saw Hoyer go down and offered up his services.
Garcia said: “It’s funny, I actually reached out to the Browns and said, ‘Hey, if you need a guy to come in, work me out, take a look.’ I don’t know if people want me back in Cleveland, but I’m open to the opportunity.”
Garcia is a four-time Pro Bowler, but he may not be a better option than Weeden or Campbell. For one, he’s 43-years-old. And two, Garcia only won 3 of 10 games during his time in Cleveland in 2004.
Of course, Jeff Garcia isn’t dead set on the Browns. With quarterbacks like Jay Cutler and Sam Bradford sitting on the sidelines, Garcia said that he’s open to playing anywhere.
Garcia said: “I see all these quarterbacks going down and I’m like ‘Hey, give me a call, I’m ready to come back.”
The Browns haven’t officially responded, but beat reporter Mary Kay Cabot says that the team politely declined his offer.
@923TheFan said #browns told Jeff Garcia they believed that they were just going to move forward with Weeden and Campbell as the #2.

Do you think Jeff Garcia will make his NFL comeback this year? There are a lot of teams in need at the moment, but it doesn’t look like those needs are going to be filled by Jeff Garcia.
Appreciate all of the feedback, good and bad, it’s been fun, now back to my most important and gratifying roles, being Dad and coach #JGF,
