Watch The Sarah Silverman Pilot That NBC Passed On

Comedian Sarah Silverman pitched a pilot series to NBC last year. The sitcom, titled Susan 313, wasn’t picked up by the network.

The series was co-wrote and starred Sarah Silverman as Susan, a girl reeling from a very recent break up.

Starring alongside the actress/comedian were Harris Wittels, Tig Notaro and June Diane Raphael. After moving back into her old apartment Susan begins to reconnect with her old neighbors.

Since NBC passed on the pilot Silverman decided to share the results with the world. On Monday she released the full episode on YouTube.

Released on the official Sarah Silverman YouTube channel the video has racked up 251,268 views.

Fans of the comedians often brash comedic styling have found Susan 313 to resonate with their tastes, providing her with 1,757 upvotes and just 171 downvotes.

Silverman introduces the episode as the start of the clip as she explains: Can you believe they didn’t pick this up?”

Okay so maybe there really are no hard feelings, Sarah Silverman says she just really wanted to share the single episode with her fans.

NBC, ABC, CBS, and other networks constantly turn down pilots for various reasons, oftentimes because of focus group results for the show. Sarah Silverman is an acquired taste so we can see how a focus group might be turned off by her childish sense of humor that makes us laugh.

With her showing being passed over maybe that explains why she was bargain shopping when she wore a $60 dress to the 2013 Emmy Awards show.
