Mira Sorvino Joins ‘Falling Skies’ Cast
Mira Sorvino is heading to TNT for a guest spot on Falling Skies.
The Oscar winning actress will have a recurring role on the alien invasion show but it’s unclear how long her story arc will last. Deadline reports that Sorvino will be “joining the resistance” on Falling Skies.
TV Guide reports that Sorvino will play a character named Sara on the TNT show. Sara, a graphic designer before the alien invasion, has successfully avoided death for several years. She’ll join the resistance shortly after a chance encounter with John Pope. Sara and Pope will form a “strong relationship” during the show’s fourth season.
Sorvino will join Noah Whyle, Will Patton and Colin Cunningham on the hit TNT show.
Sorvino is best known for movies like Mighty Aphrodite, which won her an Oscar, but she also has plenty of TV experience. Sorvino has appeared on shows like House and Will & Grace and will soon Jim Gaffigan’s new TV project.
Mira Sorvino’s last television role came earlier this year in the TV movie Trooper.
Production on the fourth season of Falling Skies started last month. New episodes will hit small screens next summer.

Mira Sorvino has a busy year coming up. In addition to her role in Falling Skies, the actress also has four upcoming movies and a new television show. The actress will soon be seen in Perfect Sisters, Theo, and Quitters. She is also rumored for a role in the upcoming movie Wake. She’s also filmed a pilot for Jim Gaffigan’s new sitcom.
