Britney Spears: ‘Cheat Sheet’ Addresses Las Vegas Lip Sync Rumors
When Britney Spears hits the stage in Las Vegas later this year, she intends to sing all of her songs live. To keep her team on the same page, the singer gave everyone a “cheat sheet” filled with Spears-approved answers.
If you plan to ask Spears or her handlers about her forthcoming live shows, then you’re going to get plenty of stock answers. According to AZ Central, Britney Spears doesn’t want any loose cannons giving the media juicy gossip about her live shows.
Although rumors about the cheat sheet surfaced back in September, the “Toxic” singer’s team denied its existence. However, it would appear that Britney Spears and her crew weren’t telling the truth.
The folks at the New York Daily News recently got their hands on a copy of the answers her staff should give nosy reporters. Any questions about Britney Spears and her live shows will likely be addressed with a handful of pre-determined responses.
“Yes! She will be singing live! Certainly she will be singing live! Yes, all vocals will be live! No lip syncing will happen at the show,” are among the stock answers Britney Spears’ team will dish out to the media.
Despite what her team tells the public, the cheat sheet also contains a handful of curious notes about what will take place during her two-year stint at Planet Hollywood. According to the leaked document, the singer’s vocals and her “live band” will be pre-recorded.
Britney Spears obviously didn’t want all of this information getting into the hands of the public. A line in the cheat sheet instructs staff to keep all of this stuff under wraps. Since the document’s contents are now all over the place, apparently someone wasn’t willing to keep a secret for the singer.
“Once Britney actually gets to Planet Hollywood everyone will have to sign confidentiality agreements, but right now I can tell you the answers we’ve been given to any and all questions are extremely sugar-coated,” an anonymous source explained back in September.
Entertainmentwise reports that Britney Spears will receive a whopping $15 million a year for her stay in Las Vegas. The website also states that the singer will perform 96 shows at Planet Hollywood. However, it’s unknown whether she will belt out her hits live on-stage.
