Jets Fan Who Punched A Woman Once Fatally Stabbed A Teenager

A Jets fan who punched a woman in a YouTube video gone viral once fatally stabbed a teenager.

Kurt Paschke, 38, is a big guy, very capable to handling himself without violence. When he punched Jaclyn Nugent allegedly in self defense, it seems he could have used a little more self control. According to the video, she was wearing a red and white Patriots uniform when the fight broke out after the game, and she went out of her way to push him. He may have been drunk when he came back and punched her hard in the face.

The stabbing conviction came from a similar fight outside a pizzeria in 1992, when he got in a fight with Henri Ferrer, then 17. The fatal wounding led to Kurt Paschke serving three years in prison for criminally negligent homicide, according to the New York State Department of Corrections.

It appears that the Jets fan who punched the woman may have an anger problem. The stabbing victim’s father Robert Ferrer said Kurt Paschke was a ticking time bomb:

“I wrote the judge a letter, that this guy is going to kill again. He killed for no reason. He went out of his way to get a knife to stab my son. My son was involved in a fist fight and he went out to get a knife and stabbed my son. They were the same age. They were the same size. He had no business killing my son.”

The New York Jets themselves have issued a statement about Kurt Paschke, the Jets fan who punched the woman in the video, “We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior. Parties involved were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police.”

Fans on Twitter only seem to be fueling the fire after seeing the video, as one said, “Only a jets fan could punch a woman and the blow didn’t even bother her. A Pats fan would have knocked her out.”

Kurt Paschke, a lifelong Jets fan and season ticket holder, has expressed his apology concerning the teenager stabbing incident, which seems to have been eerily similar to the punching this past Sunday, “I am deeply sorry. I can honestly say I never sought the confrontation, but when it came, I did what I had to do.”

What do you think? Does Kurt Paschke, the Jets fan who punched a woman in the YouTube video, have an anger problem?
