Keanu Reeves Hitman Flick ‘John Wick’ Gains More Star Power

The upcoming Keanu Reeves flick John Wick is gaining star power every day it seems.

The film, centered around Reeves as the title character, tells the story of a former hitman and a contract involving an old friend. Keanu is joined by Willem Dafoe as the unfortunate acquaintance.

Recent additions include Jason Isaacs and Bridget Moynahan to the next Keanu Reeves blockbuster.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Moynahan will join the cast as Reeves’ character’s wife. She’s no stranger to being a scumbag’s wife, considering her role in Lord of War opposite Nick Cage. Her performances in The Recruit and I, Robot tell us she’s more than ready to kick some ass in a huge Keanu Reeves flick.

Isaacs may best be known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, so if Keanu Reeves and the rest of the John Wick cast need a brooding, vile villain, it has one.

Keanu Reeves is currently filming John Wick in New York. The film is helmed by veteran stuntmen David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, neither of whom is a stranger to Reeves. Leitch did stunt work on Keanu’s flicks The Matrix: Revolutions and Constantine. Stahelski was actually Keanu Reeves’ stunt double in The Matrix, The Replacements, and Constantine and served as martial arts stunt coordinator on multiple Keanu Reeves flicks.

Both men have served as second-unit director in several non-Keanu films; for Leitch, notably, it’s The Mechanic, In Time and The Wolverine; Stahelski worked on Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, The Hunger Games and The Expendables 2.

Stahelski also served as martial arts choreographer for Keanu Reeves’ directorial debut, The Man Of Tai Chi. It is the first of two 2013 Keanu Reeves—joined by 47 Ronin—releases that The Inquisitr has called “a return to form.”
